Since starting WAVE Design, he has worked with Vodafone, Garvan Research Institute, NPS Medicine wise, my plates and the Department of Education to help them align their innovation intent, set strategic priorities and build innovation capabilities. Munib is an internationally acclaimed innovation expert, he has delivered key notes at numerous conferences around Australia and abroad.
Senior Service Designer
Joanne is a human centred designer who helps business leaders to creatively problem solve and innovate. Joanne has delivered design practice for high priority and complex transformation programs for New Zealand Government, awarded for innovation and cross-agency collaboration and AMP’s award-winning design team transforming Financial Advice in Australia.
Before becoming qualified in human centred design Joanne led the creative strategy in London UK for the fast-growing cross-platform digital entertainment sector. Balancing the needs for start-ups as well as brands such as FIFA, BBC, Sky and Walt Disney.
Joanne has a passion for seeing innovations into the world. She studies climate change at Stanford to keep finding new ways to connect design practice to outcomes for a more sustainable world. She is a fine arts painter and seasoned traveller.
Envisioner – Service Design
Duncan is a service designer with Industrial design qualifications. His background has influenced him to bring the practical aspects of product design to the intangible world of services and experiences. Before transitioning into service design he developed a range of push bike concepts for an original Australian manufacturer focusing on an unique cycling experience.
With strengths in visualisation, sketching and ideation he is able to simplify and translate complex ideas to various stakeholders without losing sight of key insights.
A curious, open-minded, system thinker he seeks to bring the value of customer-centric design thinking to traditional businesses silos.
Envisioner – Service Design
Kate founds her practice in research and empathy. With qualifications in UX, industrial design and international studies, Kate combines ethnography and testing with an iterative, collaborative design process.
Her experience in end to end UX/UI projects has given her skills in managing client needs and technical constraints while providing an intuitive user experiences and beautiful interfaces.
Kate wants to make design accessible for everyone and has experience facilitating design workshops for teachers and students through UTS’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit. She enjoys teaching design methodologies as well as providing guidance through design projects.
